Another 'interesting' GTR change - I got an email announcing that Great Northern finally has it's own website (www.greatnorthernrail.com). Although it doesn't come up in a Google search and the Thameslink website still has GN on it with no mention of the new site, so how passengers are supposed to know it exists remains a bit of a mystery.

Are they just in the middle of changes, or is this another example of GTR's competence? It seems a little odd they'd have sent an email out if things aren't finished!

Looks like the website is finally up to the modern standards of the one FCC introduced near the end of their franchise which GTR promptly removed.

Separating the brands is very odd as many GN stations will be served by Thameslink and Great Northern services. They abolished the combined brand and logo rather quickly after it was introduced...

I had thought the plan all along was for there to be seperate Thameslink and GN websites, with the combined website being an interim stage. GTR took a long time to make it happen though, but perhaps management attention was elsewhere (or those who came up with the original plan have since jumped from the sinking ship...).

The new Thameslink website has also been launched too. I'm sure I did read last summer it was supposed to been separated back in September
