New First Great Western Timetable Query

According to the new timetable for FGW on Sundays (until 16th June), there are two trains leaving Bristol TM for Paddington within 5 minutes of each other.One at 0815 and the other at 0820. The first appears to go via Bristol Parkway without stopping and the other via Bath. Does anyone know why this is so?

Possibly a diversion for a West of England service, which would normally go via the B&H and then onto Plymouth/Cornwall

I thought a diversion may be the cause. But the 0815 starts from Bristol and the 0820 starts from Weston Super Mare. Perhaps I will find out the answer on the 26/05/13 as l have booked an advance ticket on the 0815 for a day trip to Margate and back via HS1

You can get things like this when trying to fit in with Engineering here and other Engineering work there.

The 08:20 is simply the normal 08:45 (08:11 from WSM) retimed (07:44 from WSM). Presumably to do with pathing problems due to engineering work.
edit - look at the timings for Bath - Chippenham, 42 minutes!!!
I'd guess they're running down the Avon valley and reversing back up through Melksham.
