Well, we don't like Europe and we think we can do everything better than them ;)

I thought we loved them seeing as we pay out so much money to Europe and act slavish to them much like our friends across the pond!

Since when have America been slavish to Europe? They're the ones referred to as being 'over the pond'. The most likely reason is that, with the exception of Eurostar/Le Shuttle services, none of our trains have any interaction with any of Europes trains. What would the point be?

none of Berlin's u-bahn's have any interaction with any other forms of transport and only U1 & U3 share any section of track
