The motherboard isn't on there but I plan to use an Asus Striker Exteme NF680i SLI

I would like to save for a new computer people , my old time one is getting abit warn out and with 110GB hard drive it runs out fast even with a HDD helping!. Could anyone help?? please. I would like 400GB ....

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but are you sure you need 400GB?

Do you have any uncompressed media files? If so, you can save a LOT of space. For example, convert RAW and BMP files to JPG, and convert WAV files to MP3. You can see savings of up to 90% by compressing media files!

400GB seems excessive unless you are doing a lot of video editing, or are a professional photographer or something!

I would like 400GB or less for a price budget of £400 - £450 because I will be using it for my normal stuff that I on here , plus pictures , videos and wider range on top. Also with Kuju Rail Simulator and TRS2006. I dont want a dell one I dont give two ways if its Vista!.

If you take a lot of photos, or make a lot of videos, it's surprising how fat your hard disk fills up .....

Plus online games can take up a lot of space as well ....

My Recorded TV folder from Media Center is currently 21GB. I could easily fill it up to 110GB in a week if I wanted to.

We now know that Kuju Rail Simulator will NOT take advantage of a dual core CPU (See this thread), so a 3.2GHz Celeron (for example) will peform better than a Core 2 Due 2.33GHz using Rail Simulator (but not with decently programmed applications).

Anyone considering a new PC for Kuju Rail Simulator may want to bear that in mind.
