Admittedly I have only been around London and Glasgow this month, but I have seen very few 76 plate EVs. Plenty of PHEV Jaecoos, VAG stuff (including an Audi Q2 which I would have guessed would have been off sale had I not seen it), and a Range Rover Sport. A few Teslas I've seen, but not much else. Clearly I'm in the wrong areas :D

Interestingly Omoda and Jaecoo are both brands used by Chery, who also sell cars over here branded as Chery. The multiple brands seem a bit pointless.

Some petrol Skodas have been sold as VWs etc :)
BMC and its successor British Leyland indulged in plenty of what was disparagingly called "badge engineering" from the 1960s onwards. But most of the names that were used had been separate independent companies, and initially produced distinctive vehicles under the corporate umbrella, before being reduced to minor variations on the (usually Austin) design theme.

More or less the same applies to the VW group, which (I think) still builds at least some of the cars in the original factories (Skoda, SEAT, Audi etc.)

Does the same apply to these Chinese companies? There's such a blizzard of brand names being used that it's hard to tell.

Badge engineering has happened since the earliest days of motoring. One of the best i saw was the Hillman Avenger which was sold as a VW in Argentina.

Od the Chinese ones I think there is actially very little badge engineering other than between marques owned by the same company.

Off topic but back in the 00's one of the more interesting badge engined cars was the Suzuki Wagon R+ and the original Vauxhall/Opel Agila. Was built in two different Eastern European factories in different countries and they used different engines, the Agila having a few GM options and the Wagon R+ just having a 1.3 Suzuki unit. They also got completely different radio setups, the Agila having the usual Vauxhall/Opel separate radio display whereas the Wagon R+ just got an off the shelf Clarion single din unit.

That’s a Hyundai Ioniq 9. It’s a close relative of the Kia EV9, but definitely a Hyundai!
It's actually a lovely car, except the outside. Our neighbour got one only on Friday!

I know someone with a Kia EV9; they love it. He had an issue with it just after delivery, and after Kia were being a bit slack about it he went direct to the Kia Europe CEO and miraculously it got resolved wihtin 24 hours!

Two new 76s spotted today. Unusually, they were both diesel-powered. They did, however, have "National Express" written on the side, so probably don't count... :D

I also saw something that wasn't new but I've not seen before: a Kuwait-registered Nissan Pathfinder, with what sounded like quite a meaty engine installed.

National Express Caetano Levante 3, I assume. One of these was the first 76-plate vehicle I spotted, which I saw whilst I was on holiday in Swansea early last month.

I'm not really a bus spotter so can't really confirm, though it was definitely a Caetano, so I'd assume so

I've seen plenty Renault 5s on the road but tonight I spotted my first 4. It was carrying a 26 plate, so not that new, but I thought it looked far better in the flesh than it does in photographs. If I could afford it I'd be tempted.
