Ye Gods...And I thought that I was getting stung 18 months ago, when I was forking out £450,- a year on TPFT cover for my (Dearly missed) Volvo 440 with Zurich EasyMoney! hock:

On the other hand, I dread to think what the insurance will be like on two road vehicle conversions that I have in mind for the future. I'm not going to give out too many details, but here's a couple of hints that may suggest what I have in mind...

1. Approx. 18m long, Cummins diesel engine, has four axles, and is often seen in more rural areas. 8)
2. About 28m long, twin-engined, often unpopular, and originally built by British Leyland...

Ever actually driven a beemer?

We had an '03 330i Msport touring until recently, one of the best car's we've had, I got to drive it a couple of times on private land, was awesome. IMO, it's second only to the '98 A3 1.8 Tsport before it.
Mind you, we've downgraded a bit now, to a 1.2 Polo

I agree, you get some tossers driving beemers, but you get tossers driving all types of car. Tbh, when on my bike, the worst drivers are in Corsas, BMW drivers are actually pretty good.

Can't drive sorry mate.... Don't mean I can't have an opinion on cars though Polo's arent too bad IMO, it's not the how you drive it. Mate of mine who owns 2 alfas (The ones above, Not the same exact car!) did a Impreza the other day in his mums 1.2 Fiesta, It's all about how you drive really and how you know how to drive. Needless to say the Impreza driver was shocked.

Yep, I really like the little polo, it's good fun to drive.

Funniest thing i saw recently was a guy in a tuned civic sitting at traffic lights, being really impatient, revving the engine for ages, then when the lights changed, he stalled

Says it all really! Speaking of same person above, His old Car Alfa 156 2.4L Twin Spark Diesel was sitting at the lights and some chav came up next to him in a convertible Peugeot 205... Off the lights and we smoked him. Chav thought he could do us as he had a petrol... Then stayed in front at a slow pace and then went for it, which got the turbos spinning which, in turn clagged out the 205....!!

I get that a lot, with little Corsa Merits trundling up alongside me at the lights, only for them to stall as they try to drag race away...

I drive a 1992 Nissan Pintara which I bought in 2007 for $AUD3,000 and now it would be worth $AUD2,000 and that's if I'm really lucky. But its not too bad of a car and it has got me a lot of places and for the milage its up to about 230,000 or so, and I got it just after it crept over 200,000 so 30,000 or so km's in 2 years thats pretty good going.
