I'm thinking of getting a new camera at Christmas, but I don't know what I should go for. I'd like one between £80 and £150, but I don't want any referrals to ebay. The Mega pixel should be over 6, for stunning pictures. If you could help, it would be appreciated.

I don't know much about cameras, but don't just go for the camera with the highest number of megapixels.

I also recommend Fuji Finepix, but not sure if you can get a good model in the price range you stated.

Mega pixel means nothing, basically a bigger file size.

What you want to look for is a high quality sensor, this improves picture quality.

The S7000 is quite an old model now. Maybe try looking at the S6500 (I think thats the newer model)

I want a new camera as well. I would like a Sony as I am well impressed by the quality of their camera phone, and have spare memory sticks, as well as liking Carl Zeiss lenses. Which ones would people recommend.
