Work started this month on the next stage of the £100m modernisation of the Calder Valley line. Work will continue until 2018 and result in the abolition of the signalboxes at Hebden Bridge, Milner Royd Jn, Halifax and Bradford Mill Lane. I've blogged about it here and included some details of planned track renewals around Sowerby Bridge.
