The Noted are made manufactured by De La Rue at Bank of England premises in Debden, Essex

The coins are made by the Royal Mint in Wales somewhere beginning with “Ll”

You are correct regarding the sex of the Chief Cashiers

I am on holiday in Mauritius (lucky me) and the banks here are refusing to change the old £20 notes even though they're still current and the new ones weren't available when I left the UK. Has caused me some difficulty.

Anyone going abroad should probably avoid taking paper twenties.

That's ironic, one of my kids has just had some birthday money sent from abroad last week, which consisted of a paper £10 and £20.
