Network rail test trains

Lately i've been hearing noises at night every few weeks. This doesn't sound like a car, and I live near to the calder valley line. I have a few ideas: it could be a loco movement, it could be a freight train (which it doesn't really sound like) or a test train. From these events I would like to know when the test train passes along the calder valley line.

I didn't really check the time then however I'm pretty sure it was around 12:15am, todmorden town centre on the 20th-30th of August (sorry about the rough date, I don't have a great memory.)

I've looked on liverail which does cover the whole of August, and found a few trains passing Hall Royd Jct just east of the town centre at around 0015. There was:
6E27 19:43 Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax AES GB Railfreight which ran on Mon 20th, Tue 21st and Thu 23rd August and was scheduled to pass Hall Royd Jct at 0001 but was 15-30 minutes late each time it ran.

6E60 23:25 COLLYHURST STREET GBRF to Doncaster Down Decoy GB Railfreight - passed Hall Royd Jct at 0015 on Thu 22nd August

21:56 Doncaster Up Decoy Yard to Hebden Bridge passed Hall Royd Jct at 0015 on Sat 25th August

6E60 23:25 COLLYHURST STREET GBRF to Doncaster Down Decoy GB Railfreight - passed Hall Royd Jct at 0015 on Sat 1st September.

During August there was also quite a lot of work going on at Hebden Bridge to lengthen the platforms. Presumably this happened during the night with the line closed, so perhaps there were engineers trains associated with that too. This is purely speculation on my part.
