Network Rail Signaller Application

Hello All,

Im just after some knowlege about the Network Rail application really.

Do you still need a driving licence for the role of Signaller??

They say "method of transportation" in the job descption but still unsure if you have to have one or not.

Also is the timescale from Applying to poetntialy getting something the same as the drivers process as such?

A driving licence isn't a necessity to actually do the job, as long as you can reliably get there at any time of day or night. It might give you less flexibility in the future though, if you want (or need) to look at other vacancies. I can't remember if the online application process specifically asks you whether you have one or not, and whether that affects the initial (automated?) sift by HR.

The whole process can be over in two or three months if they're quick, but on the other hand it can easily drag out towards or beyond a year!
