Wondered if someone (preferably thats been through the process successfully) could squash a debate.
A friend asked for some advice on an application for a the above position.
Very basic in its entirety yet we are at logger heads on the questionnaire. For example it will ask have you have experience working without supervision. Of you answer yes it states please detail your experience.
Now I'm being overly thorough and thinking they basically want competency style examples for every answer (which does seem labour intensive)
He feels it's more job based, eg I previously worked as a lorry driver which would seem me moving shipments around the UK. Given the type of job I was alone for long periods of time to carry out my role.
I can see his point as there are alot of questions to be answered but working son the railways feel they're going to want in depth, structured answers.
Any advice
ps I don't think calling recruitment would've done him any favours.
