Hi, im currently employed by Network Rail in Peterborough but im wanting to move to a closer depot to cut down my 45 min drive to work & then another 45 min home, i know i have to look on connect but i wasnt given any online stuff no email or anything when joining a year ago. Do I need to contact HR to set this up? Thanks.

I'd assume you'd have to wait for a vacancy to appear at your chosen depot and apply when it comes up. That's how it works in the sgisnlling grade, even when you want to move within the same pay grade e.g. Grade 7 to Grade 7 just to a new SB.

Your line manager should contact HR and arrange an email address and a log-on username for you.
