I've recently applied for one of eight positions as a Customer Service Assistant at Manchester Piccadilly station.
Network Rail have advised they normally take 4-6 weeks (it can be longer if there are a high volume of applicants) from the closing date of the vacancy to hear back whether you've passed the initial CV screening and have been put through to the next round (onboarding process) which can be 1-2 months dependent on the role and pre-employment checks.
I'd be really interested to hear of anybody else who either works or has previously worked as a Customer Service Assistant for Network Rail as to what the onboarding process involves.
I'd also be grateful to know what the shift patterns usually are.
Any information regarding this roll would be warmly welcomed.
