After the bitter disappointment of getting down to the last 30 or so at London Midland and then getting the heave-ho after almost 6 months of being 'in the system' I haven't applied for anything else railway-esque but this week I was told about this role by my friend at Slough signal box and applied on Tuesday, just in time it seemed. I passed the 'paper sift' and completed some online tests yesterday which I have also passed, now waiting to be invited for assessment/interview!

Hope they don't mess me around!

And I have been messed around.

Got an email late last night from NR to say the role has been withdrawn due to 'unforeseen circumstances' please apply for something else.

Only problem is there is nothing else on their site!

According to my contact this means they have found someone internally and this is the easiest way of closing the application.
