Network Rail - Application Under Consideration For Assessment 2

After applying for a track maintenance job and completing the SHL tests I received this update by email. I understand that my application, SHL test results and my CV will be on the hiring managers desk, but if successful what is the the 2nd assessment? Is it an interview with the hiring manager at the depot or off to one of the assessment days in Milton Keynes?

normally, assessment 2 for the signalling side is an interview. So, if it’s the same here, the Hiring Manager is going through your application to decide whether to interview you!

Unfortunately I was not selected for the job but I have applied for more track operative roles, currently waiting for a response after the initial application.
