Network rail application status

Hi all, I recently applied for a job at network rail. I had the interview on monday and think it went well...maybe haha. Anyway, today, the status on the online account has changed from assessment 2 scheduled to assessment 2 complete. Does this mean anything? With the other jobs I've applied and had interviews with it changed straight to application unsuccessful. Any idea if this means I was successful or not? I've been nattering like mad since Monday over this.

I’d imagine it just means you’ve had your assessment 2 (interview).

It usually just means the hiring manager has confirmed you attended the interview. It can still go either way. Good luck!

I hope so. I'm starting to feel like all this effort is a waste of time. I've been knocked back for so many roles

As stated above it just means you have attended and completed the interview

Did the person that interviewed you advise when the successful applicant will be told and also how (phone call, email?)

I think in the majority of cases the hiring manager would make a phone call to advise the person they have appointed the job to and then HR start all their work to prepare an offer pack

They said I would know by Friday. He just said HR would be in touch to let me know yes or no. They were making the decision on Monday as I was the last candidate.

It was for technical officer.

Didn't get it..it says I passed the benchmark scores for my interview but they offered it to someone else. Third interview with them I've had that's been like this. Why is it so hard to get anywhere?

Its a buyers market for them, someone else gets one point more then they get the job.

I feel sorry for you, I’ve been in the same position, but in a different industry.
