Network Rail Application question.

Last night I applied for a CSA roll at Waterloo. This morning i checked and the status of my application is Application accepted.

Sorry this might sound like a silly question, but when it says application accepted does that mean, They got the application? Or they got the application checked it and I will be shortly getting a interview?

Just means they got it and will get back to you with probably an asessement day..

Just take it easy with your applications and dont fret about what the IT things say.. They are normally ****ed up anyway with them not knowing what they are doing so just wait for an email.

NR at the minute are so lax its unreal.

Do you work with NR. Do you know what stages I will go through till the point of getting the Job ??

I've had it take less than two weeks all the way from application to offer/rejection stage, and I've also had it take months and months from application to interview stage.

So it really varies depending on the vacancy, as with any company NR will have some vacancies they need to fill urgently, and some where they will have loads of time before the job actually starts.

If it works the same externally as it does internally, 'application accepted' means you've got through the first CV checking stage.

sorry for not getting back to you. It will be the basic Numerical and verbal reasoning tests then interview on the same day.(if you havent been already )

All they really want from you(well did) was to show that you can speak clearly and concisely and that you show initiative through your previous roles. Unless its changed since i went for it many years ago.

Had an assessment day about 3 weeks ago and not heard anything back. Should I have heard by now? I have been on holidays though.
