Network Delivery Manager - Network Rail

Hi

Have seen a job advertised as a Network Delivery Manager in the control centre with network rail.

I am interested in finding out more about the role and have started doing some research in to this. There is selection tests consisting of a competency based interview (technical & safety questions) and a presentation.

Does anyone have any experience in this role that I could speak with to find out more.

I believe - but I maybe wrong - that this is what is also described as a Route Control Manager (RCM) in some places. Only because a Senior Network Delivery Manager is a rung above RCM.

So normally requires people with reasonable control room experience and the skillset and ability able to take strategic command of incidents and oversee an entire route or part thereof.

Would make sense if the base pay wasn't less than a TRC or IC

Also didn't think RCMs would be able to do their role remotely 40% of the time, as per the advert
