During the Reading Blockade tickets from Paddington to Worcester are valid on Virgin via Birmingham. Does this mean Network Cards are also valid that way given they would be valid normally via Evesham?

I would imagine so, however it might be prudent to ask FGW too.

FGW customer services initially said no and so I asked them to double check and they called me back and said yes. Ollie from fGW also confirmed yes soon after on Twitter. I traveled up on Saturday and apart from Euston being closed at 0700 with a security alert I had no issues. The guard on the Birmingham New Street to Worcester train did double take so I reminded him and he said no worries. Coming back the guard back into Snow Hill was familiar with the easement. Even paid for a quick ride on the Parry People Mover on the way back. Smethwick to Brum rail shuttle was a again a rammed 170. Absolutely ludicrous and certainly not down to stock availability issues as there must be spare trains on a saturday.
