Netflix movie 'Bullet Train Explosion'

The above movie was released on Netflix today. Currently watching it. It's a half-decent 'disaster' style movie and a remake of the 1975 movie 'The Bullet Train'.

Thought I'd give you all a heads up as it may be of interest to some.

I'm watching it now, enjoying it so far. Could make a cool UK version maybe on the ECML on an Azuma.

Just caught it this evening though YT had already thrust the trailer at me some months back and I thought it looked fun at the time.

Honestly.. really impressive and very enjoyable. The obvious blend of Speed meets Unstoppable meets, well, OpenBVE. Pure popcorn from a plot and acting perspective but not dumbed down so much that it'd put off yer average transport enthusiast. CG was really well done but it's obvious the producers had a lot of help from JR in getting access to real stock and infrastructure. I cannot ever see that sort of film being made here, at least without totally fictional companies, stock and routes.

Haven't got Netflix but watching the trailer it seems that most of the film is about the train not exploding. Probably a good thing or it would be a rather short film!
