Looks like they are moving the city boundaries to be more in line with the bus - i.e. Hucknall is outside the city boundary now.

If I've read it correctly you can avoid the price increase by using Mango rather than paying cash for the ticket. (Sort of like when the Oyster was introduced in London)

I think it aligns with TrentBarton Saver zone A, which is approximately but not exactly the same as the PlusBus and Kangaroo boundaries. However the respective web maps are vague enough to be almost useless. It certainly doesn't align with the Nottingham city boundary, which excludes more than one of the Hucknall line stations and a big chunk of the Chilwell line.

Only the termini are excluded, which except for Hucknall are the main P&R sites. I can sort of see why they might want to charge extra to recover their investment in these sites, but there's a risk that people will just drive to Wilkinson Street or the Forest instead and thereby increase inner-city congestion. At only 50p difference it's hardly worth the bother of having another fare anyway.

Before the tram was built, NCT's bus ticket was valid on their route 70 to Hucknall - and to Pheonix Park.

Nope, December was missed. A number of recent reports suggest the next few weeks. For that I assume August.

The lift has been out of service for a few weeks now and seems to have been temprental for a few weeks beforehand - so probably makes sense to move over now to improve wheelchair/pushchair access seeing as it's ready.

Looks like there are about two weeks of finishing works left judging by NCT's various diversion/delay posts

As promised, all trams today (apparently) running in full 'shadow' timetable mode to Toton or Clifton South (i.e. exactly as per full public service but everyone gets kicked off at Nottingham station).

Later: A rumour is going round my workplace that the target date is 11th August. Sounds plausible, but as it's not official *do not* rely on this if you were planning to travel to Nottingham for this purpose! The date could easily slip a bit...

Yes. Each journey normally goes from one of the terminus stops on the 'old' network through the city centre and on to one of the terminus stops on the 'new' network, so both old and new trams operate equally on old and new lines.

Couldn't work any other way. The two existing routes will be linked to the two new routes, so all journeys will run through onto the extension except that there may be some intermediate turnbacks at either end of the peak and the working day.

Unusually I went on a tram to Nottingham today.
I note the full extension tram timetables are up at the tram stops and new leaflets with full route timetables (undated) are available on tram.

A passenger asked the driver when the extension would be opened. He clearly stated TWO weeks - this would tally with Duffields 11th August rumour.

Use the auto focus to set it to the distance you want then flick it to manual focus. When your subject comes along, the shutter will fire instantly when you press the button. Where's Shipstone Street? Saw a southbound one heading to that past the Broadmarsh last night, I thought that it was near Wilkinson Street but that would be north of there? Unless it's a peak time double short (i.e turning back at Nottingham Station) and the destination was changed early?

Also, is out just me or are the displays on the ADTranz stock really dark and hard to read in direct sunlight? The Altsom ones are really bright!

If you saw it last night it was probably doing a service to SS before going back to the depot. The displays on the first 15 trams are ver hard to read but I think that's because they are 11 years old.

Shipstone Street is the terminus for depot runs coming FROM Station Street and thus heading north. It is at the crossroads where Radford Road & Wilkinson Street meet, known to us locals as the 'Valve shop corner'
