Firstly, thank you to those that replied with my original post about the process. I've learnt a lot and have since had plenty of calls and discussions about the current process.

I'm looking for anyone who uses the NESA in there daily work routine to provide things that they currently like, what they don't like, what they think could make it easier for them to use, requirements and a wish list.

After a few discussions with NR and a lot of reading/talking on the processes, I'm started a prototype testing ideas of how it can be digitised and make some improvements at the same time (excluding RT3973 forms). Feedback can be via this topic or via a message (I don't mind). I'm also more than happy to answer questions.

Maintenance of the data would be done by NR in ways that are MUCH easier for them too.

Work in Progress Front-End

The front-end is very basic and primarily used to show the test data and see how things could look. I'll make it look nicer later. The plan would be to allow a planner to view both the Table A version and a geospatial version - highlighting areas of clearance depending on the option chosen and add icons on the map for restrictions. Currently I've added the ability to hover your mouse over the restrictions and see a tooltip that will show the specific restrictions for that item i.e. the 'R' on Class 143 DMU.

An idea of a feature would be to specify a location (LOR, ELR, station or junction) with a locomotive to then have it focus better on that information.

There will also hopefully be a feature to import a PEX/PIF file to build a route with just the data you need.

Thanks!
