I have added a railtour collection by Alan Costello of the Virgin & Clown railtour 21/4/87,
Explanation of tour title
The spire at Chesterfield church is twisted and according to legend it will straighten if a virgin ever marries there. After Seymour Junction there use to be a station called Clown & Barlborough which closed in 1954

Tour loco was 47418 (47412 after Peterborough on return)

Good Evening, Neil,

Thank you for posting the photos of the railtour through Chesterfield & Clowne.

P.S. The version I heard was that the spire at St Mary's, Chesterfield, was so surprised to see a virgin getting married there, that it became twisted in its attempt to view her in all her beauty!
