Need help with Liverpool to London 17th Nov 1st class

Hi All

Not sure if this is what the forum is for, but....

I'm travelling Liverpool to London 17th Nov (I'm eventually going on to Sunbury).

Need to be early so 1st train Liverpool to Stafford at £19 is the first part. Anybody got any suggestions how to do the rest of the journey at a reasonable rate in first class?

Alternatively I will vacate 1st class to std at Stafford.

Liverpool to Stafford 1st £22
Stafford to MKC std £20
MKC to Sunbury std £24

Are you travelling with London Midland or Virgin?

05:27 LIV - STA arr 06:20. £22.00
06:21 STA - MKC arr 07:12. £20.50
08:13 MKC - SUU arr 10:28 £24.00

I get the same results as you but if you're willing to travel with London Midland you could knock that price down.

My current search pulls up that train (the 05:27?) as £51 from Liverpool Lime Streer to London, so cheaper than the splits you suggest.

Ah, sorry, I hadn't noticed Sunbury. Additional cost of onward travel to there would make your splits better

£68 it is then. Can't get there easily from Reading either which sometimes makes it cheaper.
