Tonight I bought the licence for NE Scotland, and I'm at the point where I'm about to tear my hair out. I started out with Llangollen and worked my way up to Carlisle and Exeter, so I'm not a complete newbie, but this sim is driving me up the wall.

I understand that absolute block is in play here, as opposed to the nice and easy track-circuit block that I've been used to thus far, but there doesn't seem to be any step-by-step instructions for dealing with the handover from one box to another. I'm totally and utterly confused. Help me please!!!

Thanks for that. I'd missed the "Absolute Block" page, which explains the details quite well.

I have switched off the manual box option for the time being - it's rather a lot to deal with solo, especially with all the crossings to deal with as well. It's quite an interesting sim, and there's plenty to keep me on my toes!
