I am just sorting out tickets for early in 2025 and realise I have accidentally booked the same tickets twice

I should have 2 tickets (for my wife and I) from Newcastle to Edinburgh, then 2 more for the homeward journey 3 days later, from EDB - NCL

I have in fact 4 tickets.

Should I contact LNER, say by phone .. or I can just as easily travel to Newcastle and speak to staff there at the ticket office. The tickets were actually bought online, through the LNER website.

thanks

How long ago did you buy them? If today, get on the phone.

Thinking about it - I’d probably suggest phoning either way. The travel centre will unlikely be able to give much support for tickets purchased online.

I bought them late November, then again earlier this month.

I've just contacted LNER and they refunded my tickets, at £5 per booking .. so £10 total .. I can live with that :)

Are they “Advance” tickets, or Off-Peak/Anytime? If the latter, they’re refundable for a few. If they are Advance then they’re not strictly refundable, though you may get lucky with discretion.
