Naughty advance fares

Recently, I've come across some nasty advance fares from london to manchester and further afield that put you on the last train of night and have you wait at birmingham or wolverhampton overnight until the first service in the morning. This is quite a nasty way of doing this as i found the most people that buy these tickets do not know they will not reach their destination until the following morning. Has anyone had the misfortune of buying one of these and where did you stay as i think wolves is shut overnight.

^^I've noticed these between leeds and newcastle, but I've never fallen for it. its easy to tell if you book with nxec's boooking egine, as it clearly shows an 8 hr or whatever ridiculous journey time...

Can't really comment on if anybody has actually purchased one of these Advance fares but I can say that Wolverhampton is actually open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

i stand corrected, i say this though cos i had the misfortune of telling someone that they would be having a mini break in birmingham before there holiday and they were not amused.
