When i try to put tickets into the basket on the nationalrail.co.uk website it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know why ? I am using the Firefox browser and previously used to be able to add tickets to the basket however i am now no longer getting that option . This is useful as i normally need to buy more than one ticket at a time

The scroll bar is being inhibited on several NRE web pages, meaning you can't get to anything that's on the page, but below the visible bottom (in this case, the line with 0609 ... 0701 on it). And that's where the "buy" option is.

Same issue with both Firefox and Edge, so I suspect NRE has fixed something (that probably wasn't broken) and have thereby broken it. And not bothered to test it before release.

There's a trick for scolling without a scroll bar though.
Click on some text and try and highlight it like in a Word document.
Drag down past the bottom of the screen and it should start scrolling.
Click off to stop the highlighting and you should be able to carry on.

....but what I did do was press the "tab" key umpteen times until it tabbed off the bottom of the page into the hidden area - and that caused the page to scroll by one line, and the scrollbar to re-enable.

Out of interest, which website do you go on to purchase tickets from, and is there a particular reason why you use NRE instead of going directly to the retailer?

i like to assume that national rail offers the full range of tickets and doesnt hide any, also i use many different train companies depending on where i am travelling to . I normally buy the tickets from virgin partly because i get nectar card points and they dont have the weird mixing deck of some other websites

Thank you the incognito window worked when i tried earlier this week but today i seem to be able to add items to the basket without having to use the incognito window
