Today the live departure boards have been broken on and off since this afternoon. Does anyone know exactly what system is causing the problems? Also is this related to either the trainline's systems going down last week and the fact that LM, Southern and Southeasthern's websites are down today (I think these all don't use the trainline, is this correct?).
Also related to all this is what has been going on with SWT today. This morning there was a fatality at Surbiton (I'm sure the regularity of fatalities has increased a lot recently) but trains were to be back to normal by 12:00 then mid afternoon then it was changed to 19:30 and now it is to be having knock on effects for the rest of the day! In the news section of SWT's website they have recently put up an explanation which states that the problems started with the fatality but that the problems with the train running systems has cause the problems to last for the rest of the day.
Is this possible? Why hasn't affected any other train companies running? Is it because SWT's trains and staff are out of place but SWT don't know where they are because of the train running or are SWT more reliant on this information for some problem?
