National Rail Timetable - Table Suffix

Just downloaded the new National Rail Timetable and note that for a large number of the tables, one direction (normally the latter, so in many cases the Up) has the timetable number suffixed with an R.

Does anyone know the reasons for this? I cant find anything in the notes, which are normally quite good for changes.

Is it just to distinguish between direction better, with the R standing for Reverse or Return etc?

All tables now have ''R'' added on reverse part of the table number to easily identify the direction

Apart from tables 14, 17, 24, 25, which have no suffix.
Funnily enough these are the four I know best, having learnt them by the age of ten!

Interesting to note as well that some tables (29 and 39 as examples) are presented Landscape as opposed to Portrait.
Makes better reading of these more complex grids.
