I'm travelling from Ledbury to Alvechurch today and was just looking up the times when I was offered the most amazing deal in first class for this journey.

National Rail Enquiries said:
Long journey? Why not upgrade to First Class from £999,987.90

No doubt a bargain, especially since first class is only available on a few trains, and then only as far as Worcester.

Interesting, I wonder if that means if you acquired a 1st class ticket that didn't cost nearly 1 million quid from some other site, whether it is valid, since NRE is supposed to be the official source of valid ticket information?

Hmmm... they've loaded the fare increses early!

More seriously, we've had this glich posted on this forum a couple of times before in the last three years or so; one would have hoped that they would have fixed it by now.

I think that includes a special handling fee for your ITSO ticket as well.

This does not bode well. It really wil make the trains unaffordable.

Perhaps National Rail Enquiries is showing the result in double two's complement 32 bit form with a penny as the unit which would mean that '£999,987.90' actually stands for '-£12.10'.
