National Express ticket question

Hello all.

In order to carry out a rather complex move from Newcastle late on a Saturday night to Bath on a Sunday morning for 9am, I'm planning to get a NatEx coach to London which gets in at 6am-ish.

A fare to London is roughly £14, a fare to Golders Green (which the coach stops at) is £35. If I park my car at Golders Green I can then drive to Bath and get there for 9am.

My question is, if I buy the cheaper fare will I be able to get off at Golders Green? Stopping short in effect, like certain railway tickets.

I believe so. There are some exceptions - you are not supposed to alight early at Airports as these are Premium fare (though if you have hand baggage only I don't think they can stop you) - make sure to tell the driver on boarding if you have hold baggage so he puts it in the correct bay and doesn't have to search it out from the Victoria stack

I suppose a problem could be that if there are no passengers on the coach actually ticketted to Golders Green, the driver may avoid that stop altogether and go straight into Central London.
Then you'd have to make your own way back to collect your car!

The driver always pulls through Golders Green. You may well have a second driver by then anyway - just pop down to the front as you get near.
