Where is best to sit?

Depends on your preference. If you're near the front then you're more likely to be disturbed by people boarding and alighting at other stops. Near the back then you're more likely to be disturbed by people going to and from the toilet.

If you sit at the back you might get nasty smells from the toilet in addition to being sat above the engine and driven rear axle. I prefer to sit one seat back from the front. Then you get the privacy from the seat in front and you can still see where you're going.
