Those subway cars will very likely have emergency magnetic track brakes which can stop a train on a sixpence. if that was the case, a few passengers will have been uprooted from their positions.

If it hadn't stopped so quickly that guy would have had a possible broken arm. He leaves his arm in front of the train and acts as if he is stopping the train with his arm.

Far more shocking than that, is this guy holding on to the outside of the train http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Nm5kGok-l8&feature=related he falls off near the end of the video. Makes "heads out" seem rather tame!!

The way the guy hurtles out of the train, flies across the platform and careers onto the rails is absolutely hilarious!!!
