The latest LM Euston-Crewe/Birmingham timetable lists a Mon-Fri Euston to Crewe leaving Euston at 07:46 and calling at Nuneaton at 09:00 (previously 9:16). Intending to catch this train yesterday I first checked my computer for the Nuneaton Live Departure Board which stated that the 08:55(?) (ex. Euston 07:46) had been cancelled due to the unavailability of a train crew member.

Puzzled by the apparent time discrepancy between Departure Board and the timetable, I looked up future days on the LM website (amongst others) and found that apparently no such service exists between the 08:16 and the 09:55 services? :?

Anybody have any clue to as to whether there is an actual train and, if so, is it 08:55 or 09:00 at Nuneaton?

Virgin's timetable lists it as 0746 off Euston, departing Nuneaton at 0900. it's an open call too, no set down only or similar.

There is nothing in the system, but it has been VSTP'd this week as above, same scenario with the 0749 Euston-Birmingham. Looks like something odd, no WTT path and a pretty poor show regarding journey planners, especially bearing in mind the booked train only fares they like to sell on these.

Could it be that it's set down only at Nuneaton, so won't show as a departure there?

Not according to the timetable, I am pretty sure Nuneaton does not have any services which are set down only. Checking for other stations on the route, no service leaving Euston at 07:46 is listed either.

Incidentally, the timetable shows an 08:55 sevice from Nuneaton on Saturdays, which also appears on the LM website and others?

The mystery deepens. :o

OOPs, other posts have appeared while I was writing this.

Is this an ECS that has suddenly become passenger? May be that LM dont have the rights for this and it may dissapear.

I was at Tamworth yesterday, and 1319 service to Euston was cancelled. The unit on this services comes to Crewe as 0746 ex Euston according to real time trains, and it stated that this service was cancelled as well. According to station announcements the cancellation was due to displaced train crew.
But, I can't find the 0746 EUS-CRE on the national rail enquiries but it is in London Midland timetable.

It's listed in the Complete GB Timetable and also here.

I also found it on National Rail Enquiries here.
