Mystery Train at Aberdovey

I’ve just heard a loco hauled train pass through Aberdovey (only saw rear of it). Real Time Trains shows this running from Machynlleth to Pwllheli then back to Derby. Would I be right to assume it’s an inspection train?

More than likely a test train as they do have to cover all the country and going back to Derby almost guarantees it

Would I be right to assume it’s an inspection train?

I believe (according to the latest version of the EAS I have to hand) that it is a UTU train.
Ultrasonic Testing Unit, so yeah it's an Inspection train.
