Passing the network rail depot at Derby today I noticed that parked in amongst the usual 37's and NMT there was a Peak.
This Peak had what looked to be a shiney fresh coat of BR blue, but was totally devoid of any markings (Numbers, logos, nameplates) .
Unfortnately I wasnt quick enough to get a photo.
Anyone know what its there for and the identity?

Thanks for the info :D . It looks brand new. Is it going to go mainline after the work do you think??

From what I've been told the cabs are in a right mess and there's loads of work to be done on it. I don't know exactly what the plans are for it in respect of mainline but I doubt it

It's been sat there for quite a few months (maybe even longer). I first clocked it on the way to the Farewell 150 tour last November. I don't think it's moved since then, though that doesn't mean work hasn't been undertaken.

I only got a quick look approaching derby on an xc 170. Like i say the paint work looks brand new. Had no idea the cabs were in a bad way though.
