At the 'back end' of the CHC, where theresits a black 08 also, I spotted what looks a helluva lot like a Peak, completely covered in a tarpaulin.

Can someone help? Thanks.

The peak is 46035 which used to be D172 and also 97403 (named Ixion).

It's owned (I believe) by Waterman Railways and has been sheeted over since it arrived from Leeds Midland Rd in 2006. No work has been done on it since.

Incidentally, what locos did DRS send down yesterday for the open day?

Thanks, both of you. The DRS locos were 66432, 20308, 20309 and 37683, not exactly a spectacular turnout. Not only that, but on the saturday there were only ever about 25 people milling about the whole site! It was pretty deserted, methinks due to a Man U game on the same day.

Or perhaps everybody was at the East Lancs scooping the 08s for haulage
