Hint you can make them much smaller by chucking them into Windows Movie Maker then exporting as a WMV. You will lose hardly any quality but it will probably chop them to 100 MB or so. Much kinder on your ISP (they will be less likely to cap your speeds) and also less upload time. I uploaded a spate of 50 or so MB youtube vids the other day and I was momentarily disconnected. Either the router sucks (homehub, go figure) or my ISP is just crappy (BT, go bloody figure)

Rather OT, but homehubs are technically illegal because of certain frequencies they interfere with :mad:
And Ofcom haven't done anything about it

It comes default with windows, if you dont have anything else or windows 7

What windows version are we on? It comes with xp and vista ( although vistas version of WMM is a pathetically handicapped version which cant even record from an input device)

If you go to the start menu and look in all programs > windows movie maker. If you have a mac you can use imovie.

well with each version of Windows since XP Microsoft seem to have the brainwave of removing features and yet charging a higher price... they crippled WMM and a lot of other features in Vista, doesn't surprise me that WMM is totally gone in W7.

its okay for now my dad has vista and i use his for openbve because he has an 8GB RAM compared to my 1GB RAM.

Honestly... why? It means you have to pile on more third party software, I mean for heavens sake in Vista they removed the ability to view your webcam from 'My Computer' - that's now TWO third party pieces of software you have to install

Movie Maker is fine in Vista. It also has DVD maker...XP doesn't.

Windows 7 hasn't shipped with WMM for the simple reason that its a Beta....I'm sure the RTM version will have it.

Interesting to note there that the removal of those components is in favour of the Live counterparts.

This will be to get MS around the EU court order, and remove the need for an N version. I don't really have the time to explain this now, but I will later if you want?
