it's very nice - maybe increase the spacing between logo's and update them todays TOC's and if space permits add the FOC's but overall, it's very nice and would be a great background!

I would say it's quite good, it's a shame you can't get the three 'Trains' from Island Line, East Midlands and South West to be the same size - same with the First logos in the bottom right. If they were the same size and lined up it would look a little better but then the logos would stick out the side...! 
Good work overall though
Edit: note you said corrections as well. Well NXEA can go, Stansted Express can be replaced by the new logo, and you might as well take out VT while you're at it

One thing it does highlight - in my view - how appallingly cr4p the individual logos are. Few (if any) have anything about them that is rail related... maybe the closest is the Virgin "double lines"... and perhaps Chiltern's underlining. At a stretch the East Coast line with "calling points" above the typeface...
The First Group ones are the lamest and most unimaginative, followed by the "Playschool" children's toy look of the Stagecoach group ones. The stagecoach group trains also look like toddler's toys, especially the red 455s and Blue Desiros... Their white express livery is just about acceptable
The ones that look best - IMO - are the simple but classy looking ones such as Eurostar and Heathrow Express. Of course at least Overground respects historical design...
The lack of a common brand at the moment make our railways look a mess. Some argue the opposite of course and like the fact that much of the rolling stock has a lot of variety.
I know - how about this for a unifying brand across the network

Hmm. Yeah I could. Some PTE ones are even more laughable.
Yeah, totally agree about First and they aren't very representative are they? Especially since stations still have that BR logo anyway! Haha. I like GC and Southeastern in addition to the ones you mention, and it seems many have a vendetta against caps on their name!
Freight Operating Company who are the likes of DBS or Freightliner.

Really? Oh. It's 1366X768. I'm going to try to update this, but I might struggle as that image Is all I now have... can't find the publisher document I originally made. I'm also hanging fire until First unveil their new West Coast Branding, this should be in the next few weeks, no?

The other First franchises have all the letters between them you need to cut-and-paste your own logo :P
