Overall a well organized tour and im glad someone has the initiative to create some decent tours as I am beginning to become sick of 37/4's and 47's all the time type 5 tours for the future???

Well not really! Avon county was abolished in 1996.

Therefore I must have misinterpreted the name told to me by Andy any comments on the photos???

I like the pics you've got there, especially the FGW 150 and trains leaving the tunnIel.

It was called the retro avon grid so thats the "Retro"
I think the tour looked great and kept timings and was well organized etc I don't really dislike the name as such just I feel put the pre-fix Retro in front of everything isn't that original but hey who am I

Well not really! Avon county was abolished in 1996.

It is still referred to as Avon quite a lot, although Jobcentre still refer to it as both Avon and NE Somerset!

Simple - it's my kind of shot! It's a well composed lineside scene with the full train in view and a nice backdrop to it as well Good to see a traditional railway shot in addition to your more creative photos.

I like the "In addition" but yeah honestly I love the creative stuff but some times It really isn't needed like with the tours cause well there good enuth as it is so artyness doesn't work like with mondays shots.

True, but the River Avon hasn't been changed, and as it flows through both places we served, I think it was a suitable name!
