Travelled on the 12.12 Waverley to manc airport today and didn’t enjoy one bit !! The ride was horrific compared to usual, bumped and jolted about all the way, couldn’t have a kip and had to keep hold of the brew !! I’ve been on these before and find them ok usually ??? Any ideas ?? I actually felt a bit uncle dick

Perhaps an auxiliary box on the under carriage was faulty or perhaps the track joints were warped...just a guess.

I was sat over the wheels but I’ve never noticed this before ?

I use them a lot on the south WCML and it's definitely the case that the ride over the bogies (and beyond them towards the gangway) is rough. I still choose to sit there near enough every time as the legroom is better, but the difference is noticeable.

Not really suitable for scotland to Manchester are they !!?

They're a stopgap to cover for the inadequate number of 185s and were only really intended to be that. They aren't bad though, other than in the long set of airline seats in the middle of the coach (where there is really one too many rows) I find the comfort level much better than a Pendolino or Voyager.
