Just trying to do a bit of market research as to if there would be much demand to stay in a converted rail carriage on the site of the rainhill trials and been able to watch passing trains on the line Any feed back would be welcome good or bad thanks in advance olly

Perhaps. It may not have the visual appeal of Rogart and Glenfinnan to name a few of the places with similar set ups to your proposal but the historical importance of Rainhill may sway some interest.

The trouble is, the passing trains aren't particularly historic (unless you count refurbished 319s...) nor is/will there be much variety. Sorry to disappoint!
