Mumbai (Bombay) Railways BBC4

Did anyone lese watch this facinating programme last night? Was on BBC 4 and showed an interesting look at Indian railways in Mumbai, with a lot of good info. The piece about the "super-dense crush load" was very good, just shows how they can keep their railway running when trains are carrying 5000 people when meant for less than 2000.

Watched it plenty of times before, but still enjoyed it! There's another few shows they did called "Monsoon Railway" as well which was just as good!

I was looking on the titles to see if anyone else had watched it as well, but couldn't find anything!

Still, least I can watch the 2nd episode on iPlayer now.

The Indian Railways Permanent Way Engineers are held in very high regard by many of us, and they are every bit as advanced as Network Rail in most areas.

One bit on the programme showed them welding a rail (think they were doing the thermit process?), and straightaway a train ran over it (was still smoking away), in stark contrast to what would happen over here.
