I was just curious as to if I need to do assessments for each individual application I've put in. I originally applied to be a depot driver, and passed all but 1 assessment. I'm due to re-sit that one assessment, but while I was waiting, I put in other kob applications. One of them was to be a trainee train driver. Will the assessments I have already done be taken into account, or are they only valid for the depot driver application?

Was this at the same company / TOC?

It depends on the TOC. All the standard psychometric tests are the same (apart from a CBI instead of MMI with Avanti) but some ask you to do extra tests or require enhanced passes. It’s impossible to say for sure, you’d have to ask the TOC’s directly as only they will know your scores.

Yes. I did the assessments with Firstgroupcareers

I passed the first round of psychometrics (for mainline driver) with SWR, which GWR accepted, so I then only had to do my MMI and DM interview with GWR to be accepted into the Paddington & Reading talent pools. However, SWR then accepted the MMI I'd completed with GWR, so then all I had to do with SWR was my DM interview.

GWR rang me almost 3 years later offering me a place on a training course, at which point I had been productive with SWR for nearly a year!
