When the 47/7s worked in Scotland on the push pull trains, did the RCH jumper system, that allowed for the push pull operation, also allow multiple working between sub class members?

Nope! They used an older system of TDM which only allowed them to receive instructions but not transmit them. The only signal sent from the loco to the DBSO was the status of the Fire Control System.

According to an article in the September 1991 "Motive Power" Mag, 47582 was to have been Renumbered 47750 and fitted with the Plessy TDM equipment used in the AC Electrics.

Have looked for pictures but I could not find any of the loco with the TDM jumpers (Thats if the mod ever took place!)

The remote working fitted to the 47/7s and DBSOs was of the Brush variety, unique to these vehicles. Some of the original shove duffs are still fitted.

Nope. Blue Star jumper system was fitted to Classes 31*, 33, 37, 40, 44, 46, 73

*Some of them

There used to be an unusual working from Waterloo in the evenings where a 33/1+TC would come up from Salisbury and attach to 8-EMU (CIG/VEP etc) and go out as a "13" car set, so it had 3550hp for a 13 car formation and from what I know of it, its performance was to say the least quite "lively", if I recall it used to get to Basingstoke and divide again and the TC+33/1 would return to Salisbury and the 8-EMU would go to either Eastleigh or Southampton. Oh I forgot to say, it was in full multiple.

This loco was to be allocated to a small fleet of mixed sector locos (RES / Intercity) which could then be used to drag/push sets with DVTs or the upgraded DBSO
However the project was scrapped as someone pointed out there were little benefits to be had as the Holyhead services had already passed over to HST and in most cases the DVT was at one end!
