Muirend or Langside stations

Hi all

With hybrid working is somebody able to tell me if a muirend to Glasgow flexipass can also be used to go to Langside or are there restrictions on this type of ticket

Flexipasses are no different in terms of their route-wise validity - going via Langside is within 3 miles of the shortest route and, accordingly, permitted.

Ah, that is different. The conditions do technically say:

A Flexipass cannot be used to join or depart at intermediate stations, unless your route involves a change of train at that point.

However quite how enforceable that is in practice... is another question. Seeing as you could decide to (unnecessarily) change trains at Langside for instance. So merely joining/leaving the train there doesn't prove you are in "breach" of this term.

My understanding with this type of ticket is they you need to scan my smart card at a validator at Glasgow central and again at muirend when I finish the journey. I don’t know what happens if you don’t scan a validator at the end destination.

I will be honest I seem to be the only person scanning out at muirend. So maybe if you use the ticket barrier at Glasgow central it’s clever enough to know that you have used one of your tickets.

update. I asked the ScotRail twitter team and their response was that the flexipass could only be used between named stations.
