MSTS fails to load

Alright gang

I've just re installed MSTS and the first thing i tried to add to it was Dorset coast V3. I've installed all the bits and now MSTS fails to load. The loading screen with bars appears, but not even the first bar lights up
I then have to do ctrl-alt-delete and it says "Not Responding"
I've downloaded and installed the latest T section
The only other modifications i have made to my 1.2 msts installation is to delete paths, services, traffic and activities from the default routes and installed the mod to make the drivers aids see through

Any ideas?

I deleted the start up movie aswell, but i checked it was still working after that, before installing Dorset coast

I had the same trouble when I installed Dorset Coast. Basically, you have to wait ages for it to load all of the files for the Dorset Coast route. It takes my computer about 30 minutes unless you use Train Store. Train Store solved the problem immediately when I began to use it.

The long loading time is because MSTS tries to load everything in the TRAINSET and ROUTE folders. Trainstore moves files aroung so that only the engine and route you want are loaded. Hence, load time is decreased.

So, in answer to your problem Slash, install and start using Trainstore and if MSTS still crashes, re-install.

What is the record micheal Ive re-installed mine about 29 times and Theslash had the same problem just a couple of weeks ago I found nicking freds Train.exe done the trick

Anyway, I've no idea what the world record is but I'd guess it would be quite high.


Not sure what you mean about train.exe there, I don't follow you!
