It was confirmed yesterday that the Midland Railway Butterley will be running the Llangollen Railcar Group's Class 141 unit on service trains on Sunday 4th February, with the usual t+t D182 and 73129 on Saturday 3rd February.

it will be running all services 12-16 February 2007.

It is the only 141 unit in preservation, the rest of in Iraq or some other Middle Eastern country been bombed by Americans....

re 14x fanship...a classic example of Great British engineering, right up their with the Morris Ital. So bad, it's good.

Theres a couple in preservation, one at weardale or where ever it is in GWR chocolate and cream, and theres one somewhere else i think

Yeah, there are a few 141s in preservation, though I'm sure it's only 3 or 4, if that! The rest of them were, of course, shipped over to Iran.
The unit is unique as being the only class 141 equipped with Cummins engines instead of Leyland ones, or so I believe.

There were also a pile exported to Netherlands, where they were promptly piled up on top of each other in a scrapyard, where they belong.
